Chennai: Expelled AIADMK leader VK Sasikala, who was also a close confidante of late Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa, announced that she would take up a roadshow amid the single leadership row between AIADMK leaders Edappadi Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam on Friday. Sasikala said she will take up the roadshow to propagate the ideas of the late former CMs MG Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa. 


According to a report on Indian Express, the former AIADMK general secretary is expected to start from her residence on June 26 and travel via Koyambedu, Poonamalle, Tiruttani, Tiruvallur, Gundalur, Koramangala, SVG Puram, R K Pettai, Krishnakuppam, Ammaiyarkuppam and K G Kandigai across Tamil Nadu. 


During her journey, Sasikala is also expected to pay floral tributes to the statues of former TN CMs Anna, MG Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa. She is also likely to travel along with Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam founder TTV Dhinakaran.

In the letter Sasikala said, the journey will focus on propagating the works and thoughts of AIADMK patriarchs MGR and Jayalalithaa. 


The move of Sasikala to take the roadshow also comes amid the single leadership row in AIADMK between Edappadi Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam.

It also comes at a time when members of EPS camp announced that the amendment to the bylaw proposing dual leadership was not placed for approval by the general council.


ADMK leader CV Shanmugham on Friday said that the post of Coordinator and Co-coordinator no longer exist since the amendments in the bylaws were not validated by the General Council on Friday.
