New Delhi: Days after being ousted from all AIADMK party posts at a party General Council Meet, former Tamil Nadu CM O Panneerselvam on Thursday wrote to PM Modi appreciating the "free booster dose" move announced by the Centre on Thursday.


In an appreciation letter, he wrote, "I would like to appreciate the decision of the Union cabinet to provide free booster doses of the Covid vaccine to all in the age group of 18-59 at all government vaccination centres for 75 days with effect from Friday to mark the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence with an aim to increase the coverage."

Hoping India to be Covid-free, he further wrote, "This initiative will definitely give extra safety to the people of India. I hope all the eligible people will come forward and get inoculated for a Covid-free India. It displays your kindness, compassion, care and concern towards the people of India, especially the poor and the downtrodden. It is a welcome measure." 


"On behalf of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, I would like to sincerely thank you very much for the announcement," he concluded.




As earlier reported by ABP Live, in the General Council Meet on Monday (July 11) at AIADMK headquarters, former Minister Natham Vishwanathan brought a new resolution to expel O Panneerselvam from all the party posts. While demanding his expulsion, Viswanathan said that OPS has been against AIADMK Party.
