The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) led by MK Stalin announced its candidates ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The DMK, a part of I.N.D.I.A bloc, sealed a poll pact with Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK, MDMK and KMDK in the state.
The DMK announced it would contest from 21 seats while allotting 9 seats to the Congress and 2 seats each to VCK, CPI(M), CPI and one seat each to MDMK, IUML and KMDK.

The scions of DMK who have been allotted their constituencies again include Kalanidhi Veerasamy (North Chennai), Tamizhachi Thangapandian (South Chennai), Dayanidhi Maran (Central Chennai), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (Thoothukudi) and Vellore (Kathir Anand).
DMK, Allies Seat-Sharing For LS Polls 2024
The DMK will be vying for 21 Lok Sabha seats, while its allies will be contesting in the remaining 18 LS segments in Tamil Nadu.
The Tiruchirappalli LS segment has been allocated to the Vaiko-led MDMK by the DMK. The MDMK has designated Durai Vaiko, Principal Party Secretary and Vaiko's son, as its candidate for Tiruchirappalli. Additionally, the DMK has assigned Madurai and Dindigul to the CPI(M), Nagapattinam and Tiruppur to the CPI, and the reserved seats of Chidambaram and Villupuram to VCK.
The IUML has been allotted Ramanathapuram, and Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katch (KMDK) will be contesting from Namakkal under the Rising Sun symbol.
