A horrific incident came to light from Uttar Pradesh where a man hacked two boys to death in Budaun's Baba Colony on Tuesday and critically hurt a third in an axe attack. 


Following the incident the agitated locals created a ruckus at the police station and vandalised and set fire to vehicles. The two siblings, aged 11 and six were playing on the terrace of their house when accused Sajid entered the home and killed the two brothers, as per an ABP News report. 


Later, the accused was killed in a police encounter. 


"The man from salon had come here. He took my brothers upstairs, I don't know why he killed them. He tried to attack me too, but I pushed away his knife, pushed him away and ran down," the surviving brother of the two deceased children and eyewitness to the incident told ANI. 






"I suffered injuries in my hand and head...," he added. 


"An unfortunate incident occurred this evening. When police reached the spot, the accused tried to run away. The accused fired at the police and in retaliation the accused died on the spot. The age of the accused is between 25-30..," said Bareilly  Inspector General Rakesh Kumar on Tuesday adding that the the action in the matter is underway. 


The situation remained tense in the area and police personnel have been deployed, the report added. 


Kumar said that the two children were playing on the terrace of their home when the accused came in and killed both of them.


Badaun District Magistrate Manoj Kumar said that the reason behind the cold-blooded murder is not known yet adding that the bodies have been sent for postmortem. 


"This evening, information was received that a young man entered a house in Baba Colony and killed two children. Some people became angry about it and they were calmed," said the DM on Tuesday.


"We have sent the body for post-mortem. It has been assured that fair action will be taken. The ages of the children who died were around 11 years and six years. No reason is clear yet. This is a matter of investigation," he added. 


According to the PTI report, the accused ran a barber's shop in the locality and his shop was located quite close to the house where the boys lived.
