Rishabh Pant Back For Delhi Capitals
Having filled in as captain in Rishabh Pant's absence last season, the 37-year-old faced criticism for his below-par batting performance, particularly his strike rate. With the burden of captaincy now lifted, Warner aims for an improved showing in the upcoming season.
The 2024 IPL marks Rishabh Pant's return to cricket after a hiatus of 14 months. Pant had been out of action since December 30, 2022, following a severe car accident that resulted in life-threatening injuries, necessitating two knee surgeries.
Pant initially took over the captaincy of the Capitals during the 2021 season due to Shreyas Iyer's injury. Despite Iyer's return for the latter half of the season, Pant retained leadership.
