The United Nations and all countries should come together to bring an end to the war in Gaza, said Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin on Wednesday. Terming the war as 'cruel', the CM asked whether everyone had become 'numb' to humanitarianism. He also said that the world should not be mute spectators to the crime anymore.
Taking to X, CM Stalin said, "War is cruel For whatever purpose it is carried out by whomever, the first victims are innocent civilians. For the last ten days, the war that has been ongoing in Gaza has made all the people of the world angry."
"The evacuation of lakhs of people in fear of their lives, the total destruction of their homes, the cries of seriously injured children, the agony of those without water and food have troubled all the hearts," he said.
Despite the fact that hospitals should not be attacked during war, he said, hospitals were attacked and hundreds of people died.
"Has humanity become numb?" he asked.
Further, he said that the world community should no longer be simply watching the developments.
"The United Nations and all countries must stand together and stop this war. Should protect the lives of innocent civilians," he said.
An attack at a civilian hospital in Gaza killed hundreds of people in the Palestinian enclave, as reported by Reuters. Though Gaza's Health Ministry spokesperson said that it was an air strike by Israel, the country claimed that a lack of a crater at the blast site proves that it was not an air strike by its forces as claimed by the Hamas-run Health Ministry.
