Actor Vijay is set to meet the first three toppers of Class 10 and 12 board examinations in each constituency of the state and hand over certificates to honour them. The event organised on behalf of 'All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam’, the fan club of actor Vijay, will be conducted on June 17.  Earlier, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam shot to fame after candidates fielded by the organisation won 129 seats in the rural local body elections.

In an official press note, Bussy Anand, General Secretary of actor Vijay’s fan club said, “On behalf of 'All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam', actor Vijay will handover certificates and monetary incentives to honour the first three students who have excelled in Class 10 and 12 students board exams in each constituency of the state in the presence of their parents.”

The event will be held at RK Convention Centre in Neelangarai.

Earlier, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam congratulated Nandini, the daughter of a daily wage labourer in Dindigul, who scored 600 out of 600 in Tamil Nadu Class 12 exam. Nandhini was a student at a government-aided school in Dindigul district. Nandini achieved the rare feat by securing a centum in Tamil, English, Economics, Commerce, Accountancy and Computer Application.

Vijay Makkal Iyakkam is being strengthened by addressing issues at the grassroots. The political analysts comment that such works being carried out by the club shows actor Vijay's likeliness to join politics.

Actor Vijay is currently shooting for director Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Leo'. He is starring opposite Trisha Krishnan and the pair are set to appear onscreen after a decade.

'Leo' is likely to be a gangster film and it is slated for release on October 19. Actor Vijay is also set to act in 'Thalapathy 68' to be directed by Venkat Prabhu in a few months.
