With the Elevate being revealed, the new compact SUV from Honda would be a competitor for the current line-up of SUVs including the ever popular Hyundai Creta plus the Grand Vitara from Maruti. These two are now amongst the most popular compact SUVs so a quick spec comparo was in order.

Which is the biggest?

The Elevate from Honda measures in at a length of 4312mm while the Creta has a length of 4300mm along with the Grand Vitara coming in at 4345mm being the longest. The Grand Vitara is also the widest with a width of 1795mm while both the Elevate and the Creta have a width of 1790mm. In terms of wheelbase, the Elevate has the longest wheelbase with a length of 2650mm followed by the Creta at 2610mm and the Grand Vitara at 2600mm. Ground clearance is also a very important factor which the Elevate excels at with a figure of 220mm followed by the Grand Vitara at 208mm plus the Creta coming in at 190mm.

Which SUV has the most features?

All compact SUVs come with the basics like connected car tech, climate control, steering controls, paddle shifters etc But there are some differences. The Elevate comes with ADAS features not found on the other two and it also comes with a lane watch feature along with a larger 10.25-in touchscreen. The Creta has the same sized touch screen followed by the Grand Vitara having a smaller one. Further on, the Elevate has a standard sunroof while both the Creta and the Grand Vitara have a larger panoramic sunroof. The Creta also gets a powered handbrake plus electric driver seat adjustment while both Grand Vitara and Creta get cooled seats- missing on the Elevate. The Elevate has wireless smartphone connectivity like the Grand Vitara. The Grand Vitara further on gets a 360 degree camera plus a heads-up display-not found on the other two. The Creta has the nicest Bose audio system though.

Which SUV is the most powerful?

The Creta gets the most engine options here with a 115bhp 1.5 petrol and a 115bhp 1.5l diesel plus a 140bhp turbo petrol. The Grand Vitara comes in next with a 115bhp hybrid and a 103bhp mild hybrid. The Elevate has one petrol engine option with a 121bhp petrol 1.5l. The Elevate comes with a manual and a CVT while the Grand Vitara also comes with the same set of gearbox options. The Creta offers three types of gearbox options though.

Prices

The Grand Vitara is priced between Rs 10.7 lakh to Rs 19.8 lakh. The Creta meanwhile is priced between Rs 10.8 lakh to Rs 19.2 lakh. We expect the Elevate to be priced between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18 lakh since there is no turbo petrol unit or a hybrid but as things stand, the Elevate seems like a capable rival to the other two.
