Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath praised the grandeur and sanctity with which India celebrated the "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday expressed aspiration for India to ascend to global leadership by its centenary of independence in 2047. Speaking at the 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' event hosted at the Gorakhnath temple, he symbolically transferred sacred soil from the temple complex to Rajesh Gupta, President of the BJP Mahanagar. CM Adityanath praised the grandeur and sanctity with which India celebrated the "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"In 2047, when India will be celebrating the hundredth anniversary of Independence, every patriotic citizen will desire to see India as the leading country across the globe, he said.
According to CM Adityanath, the 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' event marked the commencement of a new India within the first year of the 'Azadi ka Amrit Kaal,' presenting a unique opportunity for the nation's 1.4 billion inhabitants to forge ahead with a comprehensive action plan spanning the next 25 years.
"In the first year of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Kaal,’ we are all fortunate to have the opportunity to see the emergence of a new India. PM Modi has given an opportunity to the 140 crore population of New India to move forward with a detailed action plan for the next 25 years”, he added.
As a part of a series of initiatives aimed at fortifying India's prowess and capabilities, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the 'Maati ko Naman Veero ko Vandan' program at the Metropolitan Organization in Gorakhpur. "I am fortunate to connect the soil of Gorakhpur with the Amrit Kalash," he remarked.
He went on to explain that Amrit Kalash, symbolising the essence of this monumental journey, would be gathered from every municipal body and development block throughout the state of Uttar Pradesh. These Kalash would then embark on a journey, first to Lucknow, and subsequently to Delhi. In Lucknow, a designated sacred site known as the 'Amrit Kalash Vatika' is currently under development. This location will serve as the repository for urns collected from diverse regions across the state, each containing soil sourced from approximately 1,500 locations, including 825 development blocks.
In attendance at the event were dignitaries including Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, MLA Vipin Singh, Pradeep Shukla, BJP Mahanagar General Secretary Indramani Upadhyay, Omprakash Sharma, Devesh Srivastava, Achyutanand Shahi, Vice President Shashikant Singh, Dayanand Sharma, Devendra Nath Pandey, Ministers Ajay Srivastava, Awadhesh Agrahari, Councilor Pawan Tripathi, Rananjay Singh Jugnu, block head representatives Ranvijay Singh Munna, Sat Sukrit, and Sachin Gupta.
