Uttar Pradesh Election: Priyanka Gandhi To Visit State As Congress Plans To Organise Training Camp To Fight BJP

New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will soon be seen on an extensive tour of Uttar Pradesh. According to sources, Priyanka will soon visit more states, including Uttar Pradesh, where elections are going to be held.
Congress is gearing up for the Uttar Pradesh elections. Sources said that Congress is going to organise 675 camps to train Nyaya Panchayat Presidents, Ward, and Village Presidents in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh from August 5 to September 10.

Congress sources told ABP News that these training camps will cover the history, ideology, achievements, electoral strategy, and better use of social media to corner BJP on various issues, including the failure of the Yogi government, corruption, and mismanagement of COVID-19. The training of the rest of the committees of the state unit has already been completed. According to sources, Congress will prepare its potential candidates through these training sessions.
How Candidates Will Be Selected
Congress has received over 1,200 applications to contest the elections. In the next one or two days, the party will announce its state election committee for Uttar Pradesh and then this committee and the party's expert team will jointly select the candidates. According to Congress sources, this time Priyanka Gandhi will give special priority to women and young men while choosing candidates.
Congress will take special care in choosing its candidates based on their respective areas of expertise. Whose booth committees are ready and who has held Gram Sabha meetings will be taken into account. Sources told ABP News that Congress has already shortlisted candidates for 50 seats. These are mainly those seats where there is only one candidate.
These Categories Will Get Special Attention
According to sources, Congress will pay special attention to Brahmins, Dalits, lower castes (including OBC), Nishad Samaj, Pal community, workers, and Muslim community in Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka Gandhi will soon be on a continuous tour of Uttar Pradesh and Rahul Gandhi is also expected to wield his power in Uttar Pradesh. Congress President Sonia Gandhi may also visit Raebareli.
