ABP Ganga Maha Adhiveshan: CM Dhami Says Government Has To Work As Partner And Not As Authority

Addressing the ABP Ganga Maha Adhiveshan, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said there should be less talk and more work.

ABP Ganga Maha Adhiveshan: The Maha Adhiveshan of ABP Ganga was attended by political veterans of Uttarakhand and there was a discussion on various issues ranging from development of the state to challenges faced by the government. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the open discussion and shared his views on matters including politics and the work done by the BJP government.

Addressing the ABP Ganga Maha Adhiveshan, Dhami expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendrs Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and to the people of Uttarakhand for giving him a chance to work as the CM, and said he believes in speaking less and let his work do the talking. He said there should be less talk and more work.

Replying to a question about the paucity of time, since he got the CM post only reently, Dhami said time is "never less", and that he will give quality time to the state. He added that his government has taken more than 50 decisions in 26 days, and the results will be visible in the near future. He said work is being done with everyone's guidance, and that they will take everyone's blessings to move forward.

Talking about the Congress, CM Dhami said the structure that the Congress has created for the elections is the biggest challenge for him. Taking a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party, which is trying to make inroads in the state, he said that the agenda of "some people" in Uttarakhand is election but his agenda is only development.

'Government should work as a partner'

Dhami said he wants to bring a smile to the faces of the people of Uttarakhand. He said the government should work as a partner and not merely as an authority. Refuting allegations of certain appointments being made on recommendations, the CM said he believes in working in a transparent manner and all the appointments were transparent. "There is no new order, things are functioning as per the old order," he said.

Regarding the Char Dham Devasthanam Board, which Dhami government has said will repeal, the CM said it is a big issue related to tourism. He said he has discussed the matter with everyone and decided not to allow anyone's rights to be affected. He said that a high level committee will soon talk to everyone. Stating that the government's aim is not to gain control over the temples, he said the government will instead provide more facilities.

On employment, Dhami said a lot of jobs will be created in a month or two. Recruitments to vacant posts will start at the earliest and financial assistance will also be provided by the government, he said. Decisions are being taken in the interest of the youth, the CM said, adding that 10 lakh people will also be self-employed.

He said they are working towards increasing the industries, and that the mandatory RT-PCR will be stopped in Uttarakhand.
