Chennai: The Crime Branch wing of Kerala police booked cases against two doctors of Kalamassery Medical College in Ernakulam district for allegedly threatening a minor sexual abuse survivor. The doctors examined the survivor after police registered a case on October 19 based on the complaint of the minor girl against Monson Mavunkal. The minor survivor was the daughter of an employee in Monson's cosmetic center.

According to a report on PTI, the police registered the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and have handed over the investigation to the crime branch that is handling the allegations.

A senior crime branch official reportedly told PTI that the girl in her complaint said that doctors locked her in a room and threatened her. She also alleged that the doctors reportedly asked inappropriate questions during a medical examination.
