An incident of unidentified men allegedly obstructing Muslim girls from praying on their school premises at Chanakya High School in Wanaparthy has stirred significant controversy recently. Allegations have surfaced that members of the Bajrang Dal, a Hindu right-wing group, forcefully entered the school premises and confronted a group of Muslim girls who were performing Namaz.
On Friday, the activists reportedly entered the premises and threatened the students, despite the girls having permission from the school to pray. The situation reportedly escalated when the activists also warned the school authorities about such practices.
Despite the severity of the allegations, no FIR has been lodged in connection with the incident. The Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) party has since intervened, addressing a letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The party has requested a thorough investigation by the Superintendent of Police in Wanaparthy District, urging for the swift arrest of those involved.
Sharing the video, spokesman of Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) Amjed Ullah Khan MBT said, "Some anti-social elements belonging to Bajrang Dal entered Chanakya High School in Wanaparthy and threatened and thrashed some muslim girls who were offering Namaz with permission from school authorities and also warned the school authorities on 23rd Aug, but irony of the incident is that it's past three days there has been "No FIR and No Arrest" in this case, Request @revanth_anumula to ask the @sp_wanaparthy to investigate this case throughly and arrest all culprits of Bajrang Dal involved in such incident immediately as the said incident has not only hurted muslim sentiments but has created fear among parents and students."
