Revanth Reddy Hits Out After BRS' Poaching Potshot: 'KCR Welcomed Turncoats Like A Hawk'
Revanth Reddy questioned the number of Congress MLAs poached by KCR over the last decade emphasising the irony in KCR and KTR's recent criticisms of Congress for accepting 7 BRS MLAs and 6 MLCs.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy questioned Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) about his commitment to democracy, highlighting the defections of Congress MLAs to BRS during KCR's tenure as Chief Minister on Tuesday. Reddy challenged KCR, asking why he didn't uphold democratic principles when he orchestrated these defections. He strongly criticized KCR, labeling him a hawk, and accused him of poaching Congress MLAs throughout his decade-long tenure.
On allegations made by BRS leader KT Rama Rao, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy said, "KCR and KTR are making irrelevant comments. We did not deceive people and did not kill democracy like the BRS leaders did. KCR will face dire consequences in the coming days."
"Why doesn't KCR remember democracy when he poached Congress MLAs? BJP and BRS conspired jointly to topple my government. I have already said BRS will suffer if the party locks horns with Congress," he said.
