A woman from Jharkhand, who pledged a vow of silence 30 years ago will finally speak again on January 22. Saraswati Devi from Jharkhand's Dhanbad had taken the vow of silence when the Babri Masjid was demolished. She pledged that she would not break her silence until the Ram temple was built in the holy city of Ayodhya on the banks of the Saryu. Her long silence has earned her the name of 'Mauni Mata' (silent mother).
Now, after almost 30 years, her silence will come to an end on the day of the inauguration of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir. A relative of Saraswati Devi told news agency ANI that she was inspired by Nritya Gopal Das, chief of the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. She has been invited to visit the temple on January 22 by his disciples. Only in front of Ram Lalla will she utter her first words in 30 years.
ANI quoted her relative as saying, "Inspired by Nritya Gopal Das, she visits Ayodhya quite often. Thirty years ago she vowed to speak only after she saw the Ram Temple with her own eyes. She will break her fast on January 22 in Ayodhya."

Consecration Of Ram Lalla Idol At Ayodhya Ram Mandir
Karnataka’s renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj sculpted the idol of Ram Lalla from a black Shaligram. The idol will be placed in the Garbhagriha of the temple and its consecration ceremony will take place on January 22 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states.
The ceremony will be broadcast nationwide so that people who have not been specifically invited to attend will also be able to witness the historic moment.
Chef Vishnu Manohar, who holds nearly a dozen global records, will make 7 tonnes of 'Ram Halwa', at the consecration ceremony. A giant 12-tonne cauldron (12,000 kg) will be used to achieve this record-breaking feat.
