A tragic incident has been reported from the Ajmer district of Rajasthan on Tuesday after a swing fell and injured at least seventeen people. During its descent, the carousel on which the victims were riding abruptly fell. The carousel's crash was captured on video, and people could be heard screaming.
In the video, a woman could also be heard saying, "This is dangerous," as the ride was going down. Shortly after that, it crashed.
It is associated that the chain with the swing broke which prompted the crashing of the swing. Approximately ten people were seated in the swing, according to reports.
Seventeen people have been injured and are getting treatment at the JLN government hospital, the official continued.
Sushil Bishnoi, Additional SP, claimed that the incident took place in the Civil Lines region. According to reports, the incident occurred after the swing's cable snapped. According to Bishnoi, none of the victims are in danger.
The swing's owner is currently being questioned by officials. Authorities have guaranteed activity against individuals responsible for the mishap.
Earlier, a carnival ride crashed in Punjab, India, on September 4, 2022, causing numerous injuries.
A carousel known as the "drop tower" crashed to the ground during the incident at the Dussehra Ground in Phase-8, Mohali. The fair attraction was said to be close to 50 feet tall, according to reports.
Nearly 16 people were injured in the freak accident, including five children. There have been no reported deaths. Other people at the scene rushed the injured to nearby hospitals.
