As assembly elections draw near in Rajasthan, senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday and said that the saffron party should keep an eye on Vasundhara Raje to see what she will or will not do. Responding to a media query on Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda's statement that 'Gehlot spends more time keeping an eye on Pilot', the Congress leader said that there is so much tussle within the BJP over election tickets and everyone knows what is going on there.
"Now, the BJP should keep an eye on what Vasundhara (Raje) ji will or will not do, as there is so much tussle within the BJP over election tickets. A party that calls itself a party with a difference, everyone knows what is going on there; it is their internal matter, so I will not say much," Pilot said.
Pilot slammed the BJP and said that the party is on the backfoot in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. "BJP is on the backfoot in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and they know that the mood of the public is changing now. I am confident that our party will form the government (in these states)," Pilot said, as quoted by the news agency PTI.
Rajasthan, where the Congress has been in power for the past five years, is scheduled for elections later this year.
