In another blow to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan said he quit BJP-led NDA to support TDP during difficult times. He said Janasena and TDP are required for good governance and development in Andhra Pradesh. Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan also extended his support to TDP and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu who has been lodged in prison in connection with AP Skill Development Scam case.

The Janasena leader said that TDP was struggling so his party would support them. Further, he said that YSRCP would be submerged in the state if TDP and Janasena joined hands for the elections.

Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan said, "I came out of NDA to support TDP. The TDP is a strong party and Andhra Pradesh needs Telugu Desam Party's governance for the development of the state."

"Today, TDP is struggling and we will support them. TDP need Jana Sainik's support in this situation. If TDP and JanaSena join hands, YSRCP will be submerged in the state," he said.
