Eight people lost their lives in a collision between a pick-up vehicle and an auto-rickshaw in Maharashtra's Pune on Sunday. The tragic incident occurred around 11:30 PM under the Otur police station limits on Kalyan-Ahmednagar Road, approximately 150 km from Mumbai, according to a PTI report.


The collision happened when the pick-up vehicle, travelling from Ahmednagar towards Kalyan in Thane district, collided with an auto-rickshaw heading in the opposite direction near a petrol pump at Pimpalgaon Joga. Seven persons from the auto-rickshaw and the pickup vehicle's driver were killed, the report stated.


This makes the third road collision reported in less than 24 hours.

Rajasthan And Gurugram Accidents 


In Shrimadhopur area of Sikar, Rajasthan, a car collided with a bus on Sunday, resulting in four fatalities and leaving three individuals injured. Law enforcement promptly arrived at the scene, and all injured individuals were swiftly transported to the nearest hospital for medical attention.


Police reached the spot and all the injured were taken to the nearest hospital.


ASI Kailash Chand Gurjar informed ANI, "Three bodies are kept in the mortuary, and another person who was being shifted to a hospital died on the way. Three injured individuals have been referred to Jaipur."


Meanwhile, in Haryana's Gurugram, a car lost control, collided with a bike, and resulted in several people being injured. All the injured were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.






Sukhbir Singh, ACP of Gurugram, reported that the police received information about a vehicle losing control, crossing the divider, and colliding with a bike from the opposite direction. All those injured in the accident have been admitted to the hospital for medical treatment.
