New Delhi: 'Common Man' entrant Pallavi Prashanth has won the 'Bigg Boss Teligu 7' trophy. This news found its way on social media ahead of the premiere. The leaked news caused seceral fans to gather outside Annapurna Studios( where the set of the show is). The grand finale took place on Sunday however contestants' cars were attacked this year by people claiming to be the winner's fans.
Several videos on social media have left many fans worried. Depsite police protection at the studios, the contestants' cars were attacked by some people on the sets of the show. Amardeep, (the runner-up of the season after losing to Pallavi), and his family tried to appeal to people to let them through.
Many individuals not just attacked his car but also broke the rear window pane before they left, claims Gulte.
Despite the incident, Amardeep seemed unbothered and was seen celebrating wih his fans later that night. He was seen cutting a cake, dancing to dhol music with his fans cheering around him. He thanked them and said, "I never thought I would ever reach this stage of the competition, I have to thank everyone who voted for me for getting me to this stage. I am also thrilled to have met our Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja.”
Ex-contestants Ashwini and Geetu Royal were also present at the grand finale on Sunday, and their cars were vandalised.
Ashwini and Geethu both filed complaints at the Jubilee Hills police station.
Pallavi got the maximun votes in the reality TV show and took home a cash prize of Rs. 35 lakh. Pallavi hails from a village in Telangana and belongs to a farming family.
Pallavi won from fellow contestants like Amardeep, Arjun Ambati, Priyanka Jain, Prince Yawar and Sivaji in the 7th season of 'Bigg Boss Telugu'.
