A scuffle and verbal altercation broke out at the press conference of AIMIM Maharashtra chief Imtiaz Jaleel over the selection of the party's Mumbai chief.
As per reports, the altercation ensured when Faiyaz Ahmed Khan was replaced by Raiees Lashkaria as the Mumbai AIMIM chief which led to the former's supporters protesting against Laskaria.
The supporters of Faiyaz Ahmed created a ruckus during the press conference, a video of which has gone viral on the internet. The video showed a group of people shouting while former Aurangabad MP Imtiaz Jaleel could be seen seated along with other party leaders.
Meanwhile, Faiyaz Ahmed Khan called AIMIM the B team of BJP and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Reacting to the allegations, Imtiaz Jaleel said that just because we removed Ahmed from the president's post, he began associating AIMIM with them.

"I am surprised that you (Fayaz Ahmed) found out that there is a B team. Just because we removed you from the post, you have started associating us with some other party, " Jaleel said, as per ANI.
"In politics, you have to make space for others. He has to contest elections and hence we said that let's give the responsibility of Mumbai to some other person. Decisions on him will be taken by the party chief Asaduddin Owaisi, but one thing is there if discipline isn't maintained, the party won't move ahead, " he also said.
As per the report of TV9, supporters are demanding to make Fayyad Ahmed the president again. After Raees Lashkaria was elected as the new president, he was threatened by the supporters of Fayad Ahmed. The supporters also abused Raees a lot.
