Maharashtra Leader Opposition and Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar on Saturday said that there is a danger to the main chair (Chief Minister) in the state and there will be a change in it by September. While talking to the media, Wadettiwar said, "What's happening in Maharashtra is not right...This government will not last...There is a danger to the main chair (CM) in Maharashtra. I can say there will be a change in the main chair by September..."
The BJP, Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and an NCP faction under Ajit Pawar are currently the ruling partners in the state government. Ajit Pawar broke away from the Sharad Pawar-founded Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and joined the state government last month.

After joining hands with the Shiv Sena-led BJP state government last month, junior Pawar became the second deputy CM and eight of his party colleagues were sworn in as ministers.
Earlier on Thursday, NCP chief Sharad Pawar hit out at the BJP for breaking duly elected governments in various states, even as the ruling party's leadership spoke of providing a stable government. He also launched an attack on PM Modi over his Independence Day speech saying that he is following in the footsteps of Maha Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis by including a ‘Mi Punha Yael’ (I’ll come back again) element, PTI reported.
Pawar while addressing a rally in Beed town said, “You talk of providing a stable government but break duly elected governments in states."
