A fire broke out in Udyan Express after it reached Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The incident happened two hours after passengers deboarded the train. South-Western Railway said that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far and fire engine and experts reached the spot and are asserting the situation.






According to ANI, the incident took place at 7 am on Saturday and no casualties or injuries to anyone have been reported so far. It added that the station authorities noticed the smoke emanating from the train's locomotive, and raised an alarm.


A team of fire tenders was rushed to the spot which brought the situation under control. South-Western Railway officials said that smoke was noticed two hours after the train's arrival.


They claimed that the incident took place two hours after passengers deboarded about two hours before the incident, as per ANI. Meanwhile, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Officials added, as quoted by ANI, that the fire was doused immediately after it came to notice, and a team of experts is assessing the situation to ascertain the exact cause behind it.
