A 23-year-old woman from Maharashtra’s Chhatarapati Sambhaji Nagar died while attempting to make reels for social media near the Dutt Dham Temple hill. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

In the viral video, the deceased girl, identified as Shweta Survase, mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while the Toyota Etios car was in reverse gear, which caused the car to move backward quickly and fall 300 feet into a gorge, as per the Indian Express report.

"Survase tried her hand at driving while her friend Shivraj Mule was shooting a video. She accidentally pressed the accelerator while the car was in reverse gear. The vehicle slid back, broke a crash barrier, and plunged into the valley. It took an hour for rescuers to reach her and the vehicle. She was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital," the Khutabad police station official told news agency PTI.

The incident occurred while the woman, who reportedly had less driving experience, was making a reel for Instagram. Her friend recorded as Survase was learning how to drive, Indian Express reported. The incident took place on Monday at around 2 PM when Survase got into the car and started reversing slowly, as per NDTV.

The car was around 50 metres away from the cliff. However, as the girl continued to back up, the speed of the car increased, and her friend warned her to slow down. He tried to stop her, but the car fell off the cliff, claiming Survase’s life.
