The Karnataka High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Bhavani Revanna, the mother of suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna with the stipulation that she is not allowed to enter the districts of Mysuru and Hassan. The court's decision came after arguments that Bhavani Revanna had been cooperative with the Special Investigation Team (SIT), having already answered 85 questions.
The court found it unjust to claim she was not cooperating with the investigation fully.

Justice Krishna S. Dixit, in granting anticipatory bail to Bhavani, emphasized the need to avoid media trials and underscored the significance of refraining from unnecessary arrests of women, recognizing their pivotal role in families.
The judge pointed out that allegations of Bhavani's non-cooperation were unconvincing, as she had already provided extensive responses during her interrogation. The Court rejected the Special Investigation Team's (SIT) claim that her answers were misleading.
In addition to previous conditions, the Court permitted the SIT on Tuesday to take Bhavani to Hassan and Mysuru districts as part of their investigation.
Bhavani is accused of attempting to prevent a woman, who was allegedly sexually assaulted by Bhavani's son Prajwal, from filing a complaint.
Justice Krishna S Dixit issued the final ruling on the case on Tuesday, June 18.
Earlier, the Special Investigation Team had requested the arrest of Bhavani Revanna in connection with the kidnapping of a woman, who was allegedly raped by her son, Prajwal Revanna. The woman was employed at the farmhouse belonging to the Revanna family.
