As per Indian express report, the incident involving the placement of discriminatory posters in Nandpuri colony occurred amidst growing discontent among certain residents regarding Hindus renting or selling properties to Muslims in the area.

Hari Om, the second officer at Brahmapuri police station, confirmed that they were made aware of the situation on February 19 and promptly took action to remove the posters. While acknowledging the seriousness of the matter, Om noted that it was limited to only six or seven homes within the colony. Despite the gravity of the situation, no formal case has been filed in connection with the incident as of now.

Anita Jain, the councillor of ward 22, which includes Nandpuri colony, expressed her support for the message conveyed by the posters, saying, “It is necessary to control the rise of the minority population in the walled city. They are entering Hindu-dominated areas on purpose and it is important to control this,” she said, when contacted, as per The Indian Express.
