Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel participated in the annual International Kite Festival on Sunday. The Chief Minister was seen flying a kite on the occasion with other citizens in Ahmedabad as the sky changed into different shades with the many kites. People from across the nation and some foreign countries come to Gujarat to participate in this festival. All sorts of kites ranging from unicorn-shaped to classic ones were seen flying up. 


The Gujarat CM was initially flying a kite while being in a jeep but, he later joined the people on the floor and flew kites with them.






People were seen enjoying themselves as they participated in kite flying and games with others.






A few participants brought gigantic kites with photos of Lord Rama and Ayodhya's Ram Temple printed on them.






Earlier last year, the festival witnessed the participation of over 125 kite fliers from 68 countries. The 2023 International Kite Festival was based on the G-20 theme, "One Earth, One Family, One Future."

Every year, this festival signifies a love for nature and the surroundings. It also helps in boosting tourism. According to The India, a crowd turnout of around 50,000 people is expected this year at the festival. As per the Tourism Department, Government of Gujarat, over 100 kite flyers from several countries including India are participating in this festival.


The festival has many food stalls to entice its audience. There are many cultural activities too that keep the place on its toes and lively.
