Delhi's Dwarka court granted custody parole to notorious gangster Sandeep, also known as Kala Jatheri, for his marriage ceremony. Additional Sessions Judge Deepak Wason allowed Kala Jatheri a six-hour custody parole to perform his marriage on March 12, followed by the 'Grih Pravesh' ceremony on March 13. Notably, the gangster's wedding will take place on a tight schedule in a mere six-hour period as per the permitted parole timings.

According to the court order, Kala Jatheri will be escorted by authorities for the marriage ceremony on March 12 between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Delhi Police has been instructed to ensure security and safety during the event. Additionally, he is permitted to attend the 'Grih Pravesh' ceremony in village Jatheri, Sonipat, on March 13 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Kala Jatheri's impending marriage is with Anuradha alias 'Lady Don', the former lover of gangster Anandpal. Their relationship blossomed during Jatheri's time in hiding after he was arrested by Haryana Police in 2020 and broke out.

Delhi Police Special Cell arrested the duo in 2021 from Saharanpur. While Anuradha was granted bail, Kala Jatheri remains in custody serving time due to cases against him.

A wedding invite showcases the festivities put in place for the marriage which begins with a feast on March 10 (Sunday) at 12 noon, the marriage on March 12 (Tuesday), and the 'Grih Pravesh' ceremony on March 13 at 10 am.

Kala Jatheri Invokes Right To Marriage

The application for custody parole cited Kala Jatheri's constitutional right to marriage under Article 21 and invoked the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, highlighting the importance of marriage as a social obligation. It also expressed concerns over the well-being of Jatheri's elderly parents, who reportedly suffer from old-age diseases and lack adequate care due to their son's incarceration, news agency IANS reported.

Kala Jatheri, currently in custody for multiple serious offences, including allegations of running an organised crime syndicate, had the stringent MCOCA invoked against him. Despite his criminal background, the court granted the parole on humanitarian grounds.
