Controversial YouTuber TTF Vasan has once again found himself at the center of a controversy after posting a video mocking devotees waiting in long queues for Tirupati Tirumala Darshan. The 30-40 second clip, which has gone viral, shows Vasan and his team approaching devotees in the Darshan queue encouraging them to attempt to open a locked gate and ending with the template "The Boys."

The prank involved pretending to be Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) employees unlocking a compartment to release pilgrims for darshan. This act misled the waiting devotees, causing them to stand up in anticipation only to be disappointed when the pranksters ran away laughing. The video, which has especially gained traction in Tamil Nadu, has been widely condemned.

Following the incident, TTD has strongly denounced the video, terming it a heinous act that disrespects and hurts the sentiments of the devotees. TTD pointed out that devotees usually deposit their mobiles in the Vaikuntham queue complex after moving from the Narayangiri sheds, indicating the prank was executed in a sensitive area.

"The act of hurting the sentiments of devotees with prank videos is despicable," stated a TTD official. "We warn that legal action will be taken against the mischief-makers."

In the past, TTF Vasan, a YouTuber known for posting videos of bike stunts and road wheelies, has drawn public scrutiny and caught the attention of law enforcement. Despite this, he boasts several million followers on social media.

Earlier last year, TTF Vasan’s driving license was revoked for 10 years following an accident. The Licensing Authority cum Regional Transport Office in Kancheepuram, in its order, declared Vasan a habitual offender. They referenced numerous pending cases against him across various districts and states related to reckless and negligent driving.
