Around seven people were killed and 30 others suffered injuries in an accident which occurred on Friday in Palamaner, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. The collision involved two lorries and a Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus at Mogili Ghat on the Bangalore-Tirupati National Highway. 


On Friday, the accident took place when an bus, traveling from Tirupati to Bengaluru, collided head-on with a lorry, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.


The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, expressed his deep sorrow over the accident, which has claimed the lives of 7 people, as per recent updates. However, authorities also fear the death toll may rise.


The police are currently investigating the cause of the incident.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also reviewed the situation and inquired about the relief measures and medical aid being extended to the victims. He directed officials to ensure the injured receive adequate medical treatment and conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased. Furthermore, he assured that the government would provide the necessary support to the affected families.


Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh also expressed his condolences to the kin of the deceased and assured support of the state government to those injured.


Chittoor Collector Sumit Kumar announced that the state government will provide a relief amount of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident. Local administration have also extended their condolences to the families affected in the accident.
