New Delhi: The MS Dhoni film sequel will never happen now. It's not about the movie at this point in time but the statement that suggests the kind of impact that Sushant Singh Rajput has had by his acting.

Sushant's suicide on Sunday afternoon means there is no one who can convince MS Dhoni himself and the fans to portray his character like Sushant Singh Rajput did.

Arun Pandey, a close friend and business manager of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, who also co-produced MS Dhoni - the movie says "a sequel has been long crossing his mind and there were thinking of coming up with something at some point of time but given what happened today, everything is now meaningless."

"I am absolutely shocked. I am at a total loss of words. He was a very cheerful person and we spent almost 100 days at a stretch together and during the time we became very close," he says.

Pandey says that Sushant was very a very humble guy and there was much to him that what people knew about him.

"Deep within he was a child, his exuberance and little things he liked to do, we had a lot of fun on the sets. Also, he really put in a lot of hard work, he wanted to make sure he looked the part, not just his outside appearance but also his mannerisms and of course his cricketing shots. Everyone remembers the video where he perfected the helicopter shot," he says.

Sushant always loved to play cricket, and he had portrayed a cricketer in the movie Kai Poi Che, something that helped him bag the role in Dhoni movie as well.

Pandey has been in touch with Sushant even after the movie release while his proximity to other Team India cricketers also began to increase. Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, R Ashwin, Shikhar Dhawan, and almost all Team India cricketers paid their tributes.

"We grew a bond over the years, I remember he used to sleep very little, just 4-5 hours and I used to tell him to get some more sleep. Never knew what he went through," says Pandey.

Sushant may have done many movies but his connection to cricket will always be remembered, and incidentally also remains his two most famous and blockbuster hits in his career.
