New Delhi: Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh expressed his anguish, resentment and displeasure on Twitter over people continuing to flout government guidlines  and casually moving out of their houses amid a 3-week lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to combat and contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The veteran off spinner shared a video of a group of people attacking policemen on his Twitter account with the message, “We have to change our f...... attitude towards police.don’t forget they are putting their life to save ours.they also have families but they r doing their duty for the nation..why can’t we all just stay at home and be sensible for once for better tomorrow. Plz be sensible”


Harbhajan along with other Indian cricketer including skipper Virat Kohli have been pretty active on social media in spreading awarness on what kinds of precationary steps are to be taken to curb or control the spread of the virus.

Apart from sharing videos on the importance of staying indoors and maintaining social distance the off spinner has been retweeting the messages of his fellow cricketers and other celebrities who have come out in support of PM Modi's 21-day lockdown

One of India's greatest spinners had recently appreciated the efforts of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi for rendering community service. Afridi had responded to Harbhajan’s message and thanked him for his appreciation.
