New Delhi: Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli in a live interactive chat with former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen on Instagram was pretty open and candid with various facets about his cricketing career both at the international and club level.

Among the various questions thrown by KP to King Kohli, one of them was on who was the Indian skippers favourite commentator. “Be careful how you answer this, because, this could end badly for you. Your favourite commentator?” Pietersen posed the question to Kohli.

Kohli was quite measured in his reponse as he took a bit of a pause and then answered by picking former England skipper Nasser Hussain as his favourite commentator.

Kohli replied, “My favourite commentator is (pauses)...it is easy. It is not you, come on. My favourite commentator is (pauses)... Nasser (Hussain).”

When Kohli said Nasser, Pietersen interrupted and said, “That’s perfect. Too long to answer your question. Thank you, me. That is fine. Perfect.”

Pietersen's remark on Kohli taking too long for his answer was a kind of an indirect hint to the Indian skipper for not choosing Indian commentators like Harsha Bhogle and Ravi Shastri, who many claim to be at par with the best in the world.

Kohli spoke on a wide range of topics with former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Pietersen that included his vegan diet, lowest point in his international career and his pick between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as his favourite footballer.

“I love his (Ronaldo) work ethic and ability to deflect all the crap on the outside,” Kohli said.
