New Delhi: 'Chennai Express' producer Karim Morani, who is also a close-friend of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, yesterday (April 6) revealed that his younger daughter Shaza Morani has tested Coronavirus positive and has been admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. Now his elder daughter Zoa Morani, who is an actress by profession, too has tested COVID-19 positive. Yes, you read that right! Karim Morani himself confirmed the same while speaking to ABP News' correspondent Ravi Jain.


Shaza, who had returned from Sri Lanka in the first week of March, showed no symptoms but her reports revealed that she' suffering from the deadly infection. Zoa, who had returned from Rajasthan around mid-March, had few symptoms and her first test report was negative but now she too has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai.

Karim Morani informed ABP News that his elder daughter Zoa, who is found corona positive, has been admitted to Dhirubhai Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He chose not to react on being asked about the reason behind admitting both his daughters to different hospitals.

For the uninitiated, Zoa Morani made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan's production venture 'Always Kabhi Kabhi'. Also featuring Ali Fazal in on of lead roles, the film released in 2011 and bombed at the box-office. She later featured in films like 'Mastaan' and 'Bhaag Johnny'. In 2018, she made her digital debut with Zee5's 'Akoori' and was last seen in 'Bhoot Purva' in 2019 which streamed on the same OTT platform.

Before making her acting debut, she also worked as an Assistant Director for 'Om Shaanti Om' and 'Halla Bol'.

Coming back to Karim Morani, he has produced many Bollywood films including SRK's 'Ra.One', 'Happy New Year' and 'Dilwale' apart from 'Chennai Express'.
