Mumbai: The official Instagram account of the Indian Cricket team posted team India skipper Virat Kohli's picture on their official Insta handle, in which the flamboyant skipper can be seen posing for the cameras with a 'bright smile' while he was attending the BCCI Annual Awards on Sunday. The official handle captioned the picture:"Shine like the Skip!" Fans from all around the world poured their love for the Indian skipper, who will lead India in the thee-match ODI series against Australia, after an emphatic 2-0 win over Sri Lanka in the recently-concluded T20 series. India will play first ODI against Australia on Tuesday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Currently ranked as the world no.1 ODI bowler, India's pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah on Sunday received the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award (2018-19) for being the best international cricketer at the BCCI Annual Awards on Sunday. Leg-spinner Poonam Yadav, who had recently received the Arjuna Award, was given the best international cricketer (women) award. Teenager Shafali Verma (15) was awarded the best international debutant and best woman cricketer in junior domestic cricket. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said: "The BCCI Awards is our way of recognising the finest on-field performances right from the age group to senior level and also honour our legends."
