The US Open champion, 18-year old Emma Raducanu is being welcomed to her home country in quite some style. She also played tennis with the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton at a homecoming event organized to celebrate her historic 2021 US Open.
Emma Raducanu went from qualifiers to winning the slam in a dream-like US Open tournament. Raducanu defeated Canadian teenager Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-3 in the final at Flushing Meadows. She became the first UK citizen to win a US Open in 41 years and thus, she is being welcomed back home in style.

The 18-year old Emma Raducanu won 10 straight matches to come from the qualifying stage to win the US Open. She was ranked 150th in the ATP rankings before the tournament. She's only the second woman to win the singles championship since Serena Williams in 2014, without dropping a single set.
