New Delhi: The T20 World Cup 2022 tournament is all set to start in Australia from 16th October. Sri Lanka will clash against Namibia in the first round. A total of 12 teams will play in this tournament with just one ultimate goal of winning the T20 World Cup title. Both West Indies and Sri Lanka will have to play the first round, only after that both the teams will be able to make it to the Super-12. 


Meanwhile, former West Indies batter Chris Gayle shocked the fans by picking his finalists for the T20 World Cup 2022 final match. As per Gayle, West Indies will play T20 World Cup 2022 final against defending champions Australia.

Speaking to Dainik Jagran, Gayle said, "I think there could be a final match between West Indies and Australia."


"It will be very difficult for the West Indies team as the captain of the team is new and there is no Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell and Bravo in the team.


"Yes, it is definitely that the players who are included in the West Indies team are talented and can prove to be dangerous for any team. As everyone knows it is just a matter of adapting your strategy in the right way on match day. I hope the team plays well," Gayle added.

Nicholas Pooran-led West Indies will start their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign on Monday against Scotland in Hobart in first game of three Group B fixtures.
