Mumbai: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Argentina on winning the Copa America 2021. He also praised Lionel Messi on a 'stellar career' who finally won an international trophy after debuting in 2005.
Argentina defeated Brazil 1-0 in the final where Angel Di Maria was the lone goal scorer in the entire match. This was Messi's first major trophy with the Albiceleste. He came close to winning the World Cup in 2018 when Argentina lost to Germany in the final.
Tendulkar wished Messi who waited 16 years after debuting to win the Copa America title. He wrote, "Heartiest congratulations to @Argentina on winning the #CopaAmericaFINAL. It is a historic win for all the Argentinians, and is an icing on the cake for Messi who has had such a stellar career. Continue inspiring."

Tendulkar did not forget to mention another star player who is also one of the best players in football, Naymar Jr of Brazil.
