New Delhi:  India's cricketing icon Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, popularly known as the 'God of Cricket' turns 49 today. The ex-India player was born on April 24, 1973. During his cricketing days, Sachin Tendulkar dominated bowlers at home, abroad and emerged as a prolific run-scorer, ton maker - ultimately a match-winner for the Indian cricket team.


Sachin still holds the record of being the highest run-scorer in international cricket, for scoring most international centuries, most test runs, and most 50-plus scores in international cricket.


On the special occasion, fans including current and former players from all over the world wished the legend.


































Sachin made his international debut against Pakistan in 1989 at the age of just 16. He retired from all forms of the game in November 2013 and is currently the mentor of the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL.
