New Delhi: Indian cricket team's full-time skipper Rohit Sharma is celebrating his 35th birthday today. During his 15-year international career, Rohit has attained several batting records which seem almost impossible to break. Rohit Sharma, the only batter in international cricket to score three double centuries (209, 264, and 208) in ODI cricket, was born on 30 April 1987 in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. As soon as MS Dhoni introduced him as an opener for team India in 2013, his career graph soared and he has currently become the captain of the national team across formats.


The cricket fraternity rallied on social media to pour in their heartfelt wishes for Rohit Sharma as he turns 35 today.

Rohit Sharma has played 45 Tests, 230 ODIs and 125 T20 matches in his career so far for team India.  During this, he has scored 9283 runs in ODIs, 3137 runs in Tests and 3313 runs in T20Is. Overall, Rohit has scored 41 international centuries.


The star batter has scored 8 international tons in Tests, 29 tons in ODIs and 4 tons in T20Is. Rohit, the most successful captain in IPL history, has played 221 matches in IPL, in which he has scored 5764 runs with one century.
