Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant posted a heartfelt tweet for his rescuers, namely Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, to thank them for helping him in the aftermath of his freak car accident, last year. Pant shared the image of duo on the social media platform as he thanked his 'heroes' for not only rescuing him but also ensuring he immediately reaches the hospital for trauma treatment.

Earlier, Pant had posted a heartfelt note for his fans - his first reaction on social media ever since his horrific car accident. The 25-year-old also shared a vital health update as he revealed his knee surgery was successful.

“I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes. I am glad to let you know that my surgery was a success. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to the @BCCI,” tweeted Pant.

"From the bottom of my heart, I also would like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and the physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to see you all on the field. #grateful #blessed," he further wrote on Twitter.

Rishabh Pant was travelling from Delhi to Uttarakhand when his car collided with a divider near Roorkee. After initially being admitted in Dehradun for a few days, the star player was airlifted to Mumbai for treatment of his injuries.
