New Delhi: 18 star athletes who brought glory to the country at Tokyo Olympics 2020 have come together to recite India's national anthem to inspire the next generation towards sports. The athletes who feature in the video are Neeraj Chopra, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Mirabai Chanu, PR Sreejesh, Lovlina Borgohain, Sumit Antil, Manish Narwal, Pramod Bhagat, Krishna Nagar, Bhavina Patel, Nishad Kumar, Yogesh Kathunia, Devendra Jhajharia, Praveen Kumar, Suhas Yathiraj, Sharad Kumar, Harvinder Singh, and Manok Sarkar.
India At Olympics
India delivered a historic performance in Tokyo Olympics 2020. With 1 Gold, 2 Silvers and 4 Bronze medals, India won 7 medals, their highest ever! This was India's best performance at the Olympic Games. The next Olympics will be held in 2024 in Paris, capital of France.
Indian athletes made a stellar start to their campaign with weightlifter Mirabai Chanu winning a silver medal. After this, India won four bronze medals and another silver medal.
India's Olympic campaign ended with national record holder Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra securing a gold medal, India's maiden medal in the track and field event.
India's men's hockey team won a medal after 41 years. It was a historic moment for the Indian team when they won a bronze medal especially after a disappointing semi-final loss.
With 10 gold, 9 silver and 16 bronze medals, India has so far secured a total of 35 medals in the history of Olympics. For India, the national hockey team has won the most medals in the history of Olympics i.e. eight medals. In the individual events, India has so far secured two gold medals.
