New Delhi: As India celebrates its 70th Republic Day on 26 January 2019, former and current cricketers took to twitter to wish their fellow countrymen a Happy Republic Day. Led by India cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar and other greats like Ravichandran Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh send their wishes to the country on the auspicious occasion.

Republic Day is celebrated to honour the historic date when the country completed its transition towards becoming an independent republic after its constitution came into effect.
