New Delhi: West Indies star Chris Gayle, one of the most dangerous hard-hitting batters of all time, has made an unforgettable impact in the shortest format of the game over the years, especially in franchise cricket.

The Caribbean legendary all-rounder made himself unavailable for IPL 2022. Many started assuming that the 42-year-old won't be playing IPL anymore but his latest workout videos tells us a different story.

Chris Gayle took to Instagram on Monday evening to post some intense workout videos in which he can be seen sweating it out in the gym. The first story post is captioned “Work just start!! Let’s go. In prep for IPL next year!”

Chris Gayle was part of Punjab Kings in the IPL last year, but he did not get a chance to play many matches under KL Rahul's captaincy. In IPL 2021, Gayle could score only 193 runs from 10 IPL games and was later released by Punjab ahead of this year's auction.

Talking about Chris Gayle, he has scored 4965 runs in 141 innings of 142 IPL matches with the highest score of 175 runs, which is still the highest individual score in IPL history.

Gayle has scored runs in IPL with a mind-boggling strike rate of over 148. He has scored 6 tons and 31 fifties in the tournament, with help of 405 fours and 357 sixes.
