India Men's Hockey Team Arrival: The India Men's Hockey Team have landed in India, and arrived at the Delhi Airport on Saturday, August 10, as the Harmapreet Singh-led side receive a grand welcome. The Men's Hockey Team thoroughly deserve their welcome, as the side are coming off a historic bronze medal win at the Paris Olympic Games 2024 by ending their 52-year wait for successive medal wins at the Olympics.

Upon arriving at the Airport, the bronze medal winners flashed their medals to the camera's and celebrated their win in style, as some of the players were seen dancing with 'Dhols' (Indian instrument version of Drum) around and performed 'Bhangra' (Punjabi Dance form style).










Harmanpreet Singh's Wholesome Message For 'Retiring' PR Sreejesh


India Men's Hockey Team captain Harmanpreet Singh highlighted India's significant win, stating that "a medal is a medal" and that, the team "thanks the Indian Government, SAI, Odisha Goverment for their immense support". He also hailed the win as an "emotional moment", as PR Sreejesh retires from the international duty.


Here's what he said:


"Medal is a medal and to win it for the country is a big thing. We tried to get to the final and win Gold, but unfortunately, our dream wasn't fulfilled. But, we aren't returned empty-handed, winning medals back-to-back is a record in itself. The love that has been showered on us is a great thing. It was an emotional moment for him (PR Sreejesh) as he was playing his last match. He has been retired but he will be with us. I thank the govt of India, SAI and Odisha govt for their support... The love that we are getting now, it doubles our responsibility, we will also try to bring a medal for the country, whenever we play," said Harmanpreet Singh, as reported by ANI.
