For those unfamiliar, Vinesh Phogat had a remarkable run at the Paris Olympics, defeating four-time world champion and defending Olympic champion Yui Susaki in the round of 16. She then went on to beat Ukraine's Oksana Livach in the quarterfinals and Cuba's Yusneylis Guzman in the semifinals. However, her triumph turned into a setback when she was disqualified from the final due to being 100 grams overweight. The following day, Vinesh announced her retirement from the sport.
