Sifan Hassan's Historic Treble: Sifan Hassan, the Dutch runner who, before the start of her tournament, promised to deliver a historic treble, left mnay experts in doubt about her ability. But what one desires and works for it indeed... ends up achieving it one day. Same is the story of the 31-year old Sifan Hassan, who pushed past her limits and lived up to her word, and is now, a gold medalist in Women's Marathon and ends her Paris Olympics 2024 journey with 3 individual medals.

The Dutch runner won her Women's Marathon event by finishing her race in 2:22:55 (hours:minutes:seconds is the sequence), and grabbed Bronze medals in Women's 5000m by clocking 14:30:61 (minutes:seconds:milliseconds is the sequence) and Women's 10000m by clocking 30:44:12 (minutes:seconds:milliseconds is the sequence).

With this iconic feat, she is now the first-ever Woman to attain this feat, as this type of feat was achieved only once in the entire history of Olympics, and that came at the Helsinki Olympics 1952, where Emil Zatopek achieved three gold medals in the Men's category.

"I feel like I am dreaming. I only see people on the TV who are Olympic champions. The marathon is something else, you know. When you do 42 kilometres in more than two hours and 20 minutes, then every single step you feel so hard and so painful. When I finished, the whole moment was a release. It is unbelievable. I have never experienced anything like that. Even the other marathons I have run were not close to this. When I finished, I couldn’t stop celebrating. I was feeling dizzy. I wanted to lie down. Then I thought, ‘I am the Olympic champion. How is this possible?'," said Sifan Hassan after her historic win, as reported by Olympics.
