Meanwhile, ahead of Mumbai vs Gujarat WPL 2023 match, Mumbai Indians skipper Harmanpreet Kaur's old tweet has resurfaced in which she confessed, Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as her favourite IPL team and not Mumbai. A fan had asked Harmanpreet on Twitter to reveal her favorite IPL team during Covid-19 induced lockdown in March 2022.

Harmanpreet Kaur is one among two Indian skippers who will be playing the inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL). India women's team skipper Harmanpreet will captain Mumbai Indians (MI) and Smriti Mandhana will lead Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in WPL 2023.

Harmanpreet Kaur has been immensely successful both as a player and a captain in women's cricket. In what can be considered as one of the major highlights of her career, Harmanpreet is the only women batter in India to score a century in T20Is.

India women's cricket team reached at least semi-final or final in all three World Cups, under her captaincy. She was also the captain of the Indian team that won the silver medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Harmanpreet Kaur has so far scored 3058 runs for India in 151 T20 Internationals, making her fourth player in the world to score most runs in T20 Internationals.
