Indian cricket team's former all-rounder Irfan Pathan received a lot of hate on social media for posting his wife Safa Baig's blurred face picture. Some trolls jumped to the conclusion that the cricketer-turned-commentator is intentionally not allowing his wife Safa to reveal her face.
Reacting to the severe criticism and hate over tweeting blurred photo of his wife, Irfan Pathan once again tweeted the same blurred photo from his official handle.

He wrote, “This picture is posted by my queen from my son’s account. We are getting lot of hate. Let me post this here as well. She blurred this pic by her choice. And Yes, I’m her mate not her master”.
Irfan Pathan's wife Safa Baig has finally reacted to the controversy, stating that she's a very private person and never likes to be the centre of attraction.
“I had created an Instagram account for Imran and I post stuff there so that he can look back at some lovely memories once he grows up. I handle this account and for this particular photograph, I had blurred my face out of choice. It was completely my decision and Irfan had absolutely nothing to do with it,” Safa told The Times of India (TOI).
“I never thought that posting a harmless family photograph would create a needless controversy like this. I am a very private person and I never like to be the centre of attraction. Even when Irfan gets papped, I immediately move away,” she stated.
Irfan Pathan often shares his wife's photo on social media. Irfan married Safa Baig in the year 2016. She used to do modeling in Jeddah but after marrying Pathan she gave up modeling. The adorable couple together have a son, whose name is Imran Pathan.
