The inaugural season of the Women's Premier League is nearing its climactic end. While as many as three teams have qualified for the knockout stage of the tournament, the other two teams were eliminated from the league stage itself. It was a forgettable outing for the Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) this season. Her side finished fourth in the fifth placed table, managing just two wins in eight matches.

Even in their last league match against the Mumbai Indians, Bangalore ended with a defeat. However, one incident that will remain with the fans forever will be witnessing Mandhana rolling her arms over. While the southpaw is only known for her batting prowess as an opener, she decided to bowl in the match against Mumbai Indians and fans were reminded of the bowling action of the men's cricket team star Virat Kohli.

A video of Kohli, former captain of the men's team of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, bowling and the similarity between his and Mandhana's bowling action has surfaced on social media.

While Bangalore made 125/9 in their 20 overs with Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh top-scoring with 29 runs each, Mumbai chased down the total with 21 balls remaining riding on Amelia Kerr's unbeaten 31 after her 3 for 22 with the ball.

Post the match, Mandhana said that she wouldn't say that they don't have a good team despite a poor season.

"Won't say we don't have a great team because we haven't done well. We had some amazing players. The first four-five games didn't go our way. My personal form wasn't great. We didn't get great starts. Sometimes things don't go as you have planned. We will come back stronger next season. We have found some amazing youngsters in Shreyanka and Kanika. They have been fearless. Was pleasing to see as a skipper. Asha bowled very well too," she said.
